Client Forms and Canine Requirements
To ensure the safety of your dog and others in Paw In Hand activities, please ensure your dog meets the requirements below and that you download and complete these required forms. This also helps me help you and your dog as much as possible.
REQUIREMENTS
Participation requirements in Paw in Hand classes, walks, excursions and sleepovers are generally the same; the age of the dog may vary for different activities and behavioral challenges may be acceptable for some things and require a different approach for others. If you have any questions, please contact me to discuss.
- Vaccinations up to date, including Bordatella. (Check with us if your dog is being followed by a veterinarian and is on a holistic health care plan)
- Fle preventative program
- Spayed or Neutered (age recommended by veterinarian)
- Current District of Squamish Dog Licence
- Identification tag with owner's contact information
- Any health issues outlined in advance
- Behaviour challenges outlined in advance
- No history of aggression towards other dogs or people
- Registration form and liability waiver filled out
Field Trip Specifics:
- Good off leash recall
- Must be over 5 months and physically capable of hiking up and down hills and varied terrain
- No history of wildlife cahsing
Puppy First Steps:
- Must be between 7-8 weeks and no more than 16 weeks AND be current with vaccinations
Sleepovers:
- Good off leash recall
- Dogs must also be comfortable with children and non-aggressive to our cats
