Paw In Hand Pet Services began in 2000, though it was a lifetime in the making. Maren's lifelong love for animals, especially dogs, fueled her passion to ensure that dog and human formed a relationship that would help them both. With a keen interest and aptitude for seeing and developing the traits that forge this relationship, Maren undertook to ensure that each dog she works with has the opportunity to walk in unison with their human, a way of walking Paw In Hand.

Paw in Hand Pet Services is committed to the health, well being, safety and loving development of your canine friend. This is apparent in everything we do - from our name to our commitment to training methods that promote a caring relationship between dogs and people. Your dog and you in partnership.

We are committed to a professional code of ethics and dog friendly training methods that use positive methods that promote a caring relationship between dogs and people. Maren opposes training methods that induce fear, cause pain or physical discomfort.

Maren is the only trainer in Sea To Sky Country to hold a CPDT-KA certification from the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT) and is a professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT).
Specializing in addressing the concerns of families with children and dogs, Maren is also Sea To Sky Country’s only licensed presenter of the national Dogs&Storks™ program and the The Dog and Baby Connection™ program.
